Surrey local SEO, for a service firm, is the version where the customer does not walk into a shop. They search, they check you cover their town, and they call. A plumber, a gardener, a cleaner or a clinic that visits has a different page from a café. The site has to say the offer, the area, and the next step, in that order.
The county overview is local SEO in Surrey. This note is for firms that travel. Small-firm priorities are in small business SEO in Surrey. The pages themselves are built as website design.
Start with the round
Write the towns you drove to last month. That is the coverage. It is usually shorter than the list you would accept. From Coulsdon, a real round often includes Purley, Kenley, Chipstead, Old Coulsdon and parts of Croydon or Sutton. It does not automatically include the far side of the county. We are at 109A Brighton Road, Coulsdon, CR5 2NG. Your round should be yours, written in sentences a customer can check.
Put that coverage on the service page. Do not open a new page for each village until you have a photo, a job or a review that names it. Duplicate village pages compete with each other. The test is in service-area pages versus one homepage.
One page per offer
If you repair boilers and you also fit bathrooms, those are often two searches and two pages. If they are the same visit with two names, one page with two headings is enough. Five pages, on the £150 starter package, hold one main offer plus contact and a short about. Fifteen pages, at £295, hold several offers. Thirty, at £495, is for a wider firm or for bookings. Do not buy the larger band to fill it with town names.
Each page should make sense if it is the first page someone sees. Link it from the homepage. Link it to contact. A service page with no internal links is easy to miss.
The call has to work
The phone number is the conversion. Put it in the header as a link. Repeat it on the contact page. Use the same number on the Google profile. A form can sit beside it for people who will not call. Many will tap the number and nothing else. Click-to-call, hours and the profile are covered in click-to-call and the profile handover.
Photos of the van, the tools or the finished job help a householder trust you. A stock handshake does not. The name, address and phone number should match every directory, which is NAP consistency.
Towns you drive to
Mention a town in the service page when you go there. Use it in the title only when that page is genuinely about that place. “Boiler repair Coulsdon” can be a title if Coulsdon is the base and the page says so. “Boiler repair” plus a sentence that you also cover Purley is often better than two thin titles. Purley-specific advice is in SEO for Purley.
Check Search Console monthly. Strengthen pages that already get impressions for towns you cover. Ignore towns you do not cover. We will not promise a position in Surrey. Eligibility comes from the page and the profile, not from a line in a contract.
What it costs to launch
The first year of domain, hosting and SSL is included. Year two is about £60 to the providers. Most small sites are ready within two to four weeks of the words and pictures. Send the offers and the towns on the round. We will name the package. If you only have one service, we will not sell you thirty pages.
